It is completely cloud-based, that is, you can use this software from your browser. You can access this software by following this link. All, you need to do is register for free, and you can start using this amazing software. By using this software you can quickly model your optical system, and perform ray tracing simulations. The figure below shows an example of the system that I simulated in 3DOptix.
This software can also be useful for illustrating optical systems. The generated illustrations or figures can be used in scientific articles.
